Limerick Greenhouse’s start-up bootcamp under way

28 Jun 2010

A series of 10 start-up bootcamp sessions from the Greenhouse Limerick incubation centre kicked off last week with the aim of providing free advice for entrepreneurs on topics including funding, collateral, the investment process and getting your business pitch together.

The first session from the Greenhouse Limerick Bootcamp series took place on Wednesday at Office Ireland in Limerick and covered two topics: ‘The Business of Business’ and ‘The Business of Investing’.

Belfast-born entrepreneur David Kirk, a former Silicon Valley executive who worked as a senior CP at Cisco, delivered the talks in person.

Kirk talked to the audience about funding sources, financial projections, share options and other business areas that an innovation-oriented start-up may not necessarily be acquainted with.

The next bootcamp talk takes place this Wednesday, 30 June, and will be delivered via video link by Kirk as will the rest of these three-hour long sessions.
