Sligo start-up VentiSys wins security category of Tech Trailblazers Awards

18 Dec 2012

VentiSys, a start-up operating out of Sligo, has been named winner of the Security Trailblazers category in the global Tech Trailblazers Awards.

Last week, we reported that the company had made it through the first round of Tech Trailblazers.

Tech Trailblazers is a new concept in awards aimed at start-ups and businesses less than five years old, and at C-series funding or below.

Joe Morrissey and Jon Guymer founded VentiSys in 2007 to deploy cloud-based solutions for business problems.

Its flagship product Oudles Vault specifically protects businesses amid the shift to bring your own device, which opens a Pandora’s Box of security issues.

Rose Ross, founder of the Tech Trailblazers Awards, commented, “Our goal in our first year was to create a truly global award for enterprise tech start-ups with prizes that would actually help them grow their businesses. The Tech Trailblazers has proved itself as the enterprise tech world’s independent award dedicated to discovering the hottest new enterprise tech innovations from around the world.

“The Tech Trailblazers Awards 2012 has proved that technological innovation is not just for the so-called ‘major players.’ Exciting new technologies are being developed all over the world by fledgling companies that need only the recognition and resources to succeed. We look forward to watching our winners flourish in 2013 and welcoming even more entrants to the awards next year.”
