Bill Liao, the entrepreneur and philanthropist who co-founded European business social network XING.com with founder Lars Hinrichs has created a free online course for entrepreneurs.

Taking as its inspiration the book Stone Soup – The Secret Recipe for Making Something from Nothing, the interactive business course takes budding entrepreneurs through the 26 ingredients.

The course not only brings you a flavour of the book, it also provides a profile of the successful entrepreneur/venture founder.

Liao is an entrepreneur and philanthropist who has participated in seven IPOs. He is the co-founder of XING.com and is also CEO of Finaxis AG, a privately held company in the financial services industry.

He is also a social networking pioneer, author and speaker. Among his philanthropic endeavours is his participation as an investor and volunteer in The Hunger Project in Uganda, New York and Mexico.

Liao’s experience and expertise lies within founding enterprises, entrepreneurship, social networking, international development, coaching and mentoring.

Liao also works as a commentator, motivator and coach with individuals and organisations worldwide.
