This week in viral videos, Chris Pratt takes on the ‘Apparently Kid’ in a game ‘Dino Wrong or Dino Right?’, Robert Downey Jr’s interview walk-out, and one scary subway prank.

About 100 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute, 500 years of video watched on Facebook every day, and more than 700 YouTube videos shared on Twitter each minute, ensuring there is always video trending on the web.

With so much video available for viewing, we take a look at some of the viral videos that have caught our eyes this week.

Dino Wrong or Dino Right: Chris Pratt V ‘Apparently Kid’

Viral videos of the week alumni Chris Pratt and ‘Apparently Kid’ Noah Ritter went head-to-head on Ellen this week in a game ‘Dino Wrong or Dino Right?’, a quiz that tested their knowledge of dinosaurs.

Considering he’s the star of forthcoming dinosaur action movie Jurassic World – not to mention the fact that his opponent is a five-year-old – Pratt should have been a lock to win this. But Noah’s dinosaur knowledge was seriously impressive, even with his movie star nemesis trying some devious tricks to throw him off his game.

In your face Pratt!

Robert Downey Jr walks out of interview when asked about past

Channel 4 TV presenter and journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy achieved a kind of notoriety two years ago when during an interview with Quentin Tarantino, the filmmaker responded to a question on whether there is a link between film violence and real-life violence in America with: “I’m shutting your butt down”.

Guru-Murthy was up to his old tricks again this week, this time with Avengers: Age of Ultron star Robert Downey Jr. In a press junket interview (essentially an advert for the film), Guru-Murthy felt it appropriate to ask the actor about his past run-ins with the law and history of drug abuse, despite RDJ being drug-free for well over a decade.

Though a clearly uncomfortable Downey Jr attempted to give some semblance of an answer at first, Guru-Murthy continued with his line of questioning, prompting the actor to walk out of the room and call the interviewer a ‘schmuck’. Considering the questions were inappropriate in that setting, Guru-Murthy was probably trying to elicit such a response. So congratulations to him, he got the viral video he wanted. But it’s hardly journalism.

Scary ghost subway prank

Jeremy Beadle pulled some crazy stuff back in the day, but I don’t remember his pranks going to the extremes of Brazilian TV show Programma Silvio Santos. For what was supposedly a comedy skit, the show’s crew set up hidden cameras on a subway to ‘prank’ unsuspecting members of the public.

It went like this: passengers would enter a seemingly normal train, the lights would soon flicker out and, when they came back on, a terrifyingly ghoulish woman holding a baby doll would be in sight. If that wasn’t scary enough, the woman’s icy stare would then be broken by a blood-cuddling scream.

I can’t laugh at any of the victims here, all their trembling reactions are totally understandable.

Amy Schumer’s comedy sketch lambasts Hollywood’s stance on women

Hollywood sucks if you’re a woman. There’s, like, three decent leading roles out there for you per year – far less when you get into your 40s. And the town’s obsession with youth seems to be exclusively felt by women. Denzel Washington and Bruce Willis can stay on the A-list forever, but when was the last time you saw their ’90s contemporaries Julia Roberts, Meg Ryan or Demi Moore crop up in anything?

Amy Schumer, star of comedy show Inside Amy Schumer, is a vocal critic of Hollywood’s continuing sexism, which she has ratcheted up with this sketch which co-stars Tina Fey, Patricia Arquette and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

In the skit, the group celebrates Louis-Dreyfus’ last day as a ‘desirable’ actress – though they use a less ambiguous term – explaining that the media decides when a woman has reached this point. “You know how Sally Field was Tom Hanks‘s love interest in Punchline, and then 20 minutes later she was his mom in Forrest Gump?” quips Fay.

This video is entirely NSFW, with bad language galore. Be warned!

Lego Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer

Underwhelmed by last week’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer? Us too (we don’t enjoy shadows and rain as much as the filmmakers seemingly do). So why not try this Lego version instead.

According to its creators, FinalFeature, months were spent “gathering information, building, learning and putting all of the pieces together to recreate the trailer in a short period of time”.

It’s definitely one of the more lush Lego recreations we’ve seen.
