New Star Wars trailer in Japan shows even more scenes

In an odd twist, a new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens released in Japan shows a few scenes that western audiences have yet to see.

Disney’s Japanese YouTube account put up the video earlier today, revealing a few new snippets of the upcoming blockbuster.

Rey and Finn make an appearance, there’s more from the wonderful little BB-8, Han, Rey and Kylo Ren – all the hits.

For a fraction of a second, you see Leia and C-3PO, huge desert expanses, war, alien suns and Maz Kanata. Or do you? Check out the video to see.

Of course, stormtroopers with flamethrowers are the real scene stealers in this trailer but, if it’s added Star Wars footage you want then it is added Star Wars footage you get.

The film is the first big-screen, live-action depiction of Lucas’s universe since Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005) and picks up three decades after the events of the original 1970s/’80s trilogy.
