Sphero, the company behind Star Wars’ latest robotic superstar BB-8, has been hard at work promoting one of the top toys of 2015.
The company has gone so far as making a series of shorts that show the cute little buggar hanging out with hedgehogs, dominoes, marbles and the like.
Backed by the might of the Star Wars brand, BB-8’s miniature adventures serve two purposes, really.
First, it keeps Star Wars: The Force Awakens in the minds of the minority of people yet to see the film and, more importantly for Sphero, it encourages more people to snap up the device over the holidays.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is quickly destroying every box office record going, with reports of a $300m take in the first five days in the US alone. It made the biggest global debut ever by a long shot, earning $528 million over its first weekend.
So sit back and enjoy BB-8 escape from a popcorn bucket, dodge a claw, mess around with vinyl, rustle through leaves and, generally, be adorable.
