You may think you’re Star Wars-ed out. You may think you can’t hear any more about Kylo Ren, or Rey, or Han Solo, or Finn, or BB-8. But you’re wrong. You’re so wrong.

The latest Star Wars parody account to appear online – Dad Joke Han Solo – is one of the greatest confluences of internet heavy-hitters to date, because it pairs two of the internet’s favourite things: Star Wars and dad jokes.

Warning: if you haven’t seen the film, there are spoilers ahead.

And it may just keep you on the Star Wars hook for another few weeks.

With Dad Joke Han Solo, we get a glimpse into Solo family life, with Han regularly tweeting terrible, god-awful, amazing Star Wars puns to his son, Ben.

Maybe we’ve finally discovered what pushed Ben to the dark side.

Dad jokes are a universal ‘love to pretend-to-hate’ internet mainstay, shared widely by people who appreciate a good bad joke, so marrying them with the Star Wars universe means almost guaranteed success.

If nothing else, it means guaranteed laughs.

(That one has crossover appeal.)

And the greatest of all time:
