So, pretty much everyone’s least favourite day of the year is almost upon us: Valentine’s Day.
Ah, yes, Valentine’s Day, everyone’s favourite day for contrived romance, Facebook engagements and over-priced bunches of roses.
Like many single people, I already know how I’ll be spending Valentine’s Day…
However, it’s not just us supposedly lonely singletons who aren’t fans of Valentine’s Day, it’s descended into such a commercial entity that you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone outside of the florist, confectionary or card-selling world with much good to say about it.
But one thing everyone, whether single of coupled up, can enjoy is some epic Valentine’s fails, and the internet, as ever, doesn’t disappoint.
Like this sign, advocating a gift no one would really want.
And this somewhat self-involved husband.
Remember, if you’re single, just accept it and enjoy, don’t use a stock image to pretend someone sent you flowers.
And if you do decide to send a card, maybe make it a bit more romantic than this one.
Sometimes, companies decide to jump on Valentine’s Day as a way to promote their brand or products, but it’s not always a good idea.

There are few words adequate to truly describe the oddness of this product:

Ah, but we’re not total cynics here at Siliconrepublic.com, so to end things on a sweeter note, here’s a pretty adorable video of some kids talking about love and Valentine’s Day. Enjoy!
