Speaking on stage at Inspirefest 2017, Global Invest Her founder Anne Ravanona put out a call for greater diversity in the venture capital sector.
In a bid to tackle unconscious bias, she encouraged budding angel investors to find their wings and get involved.
“Those VC firms, they need you, because they need to understand the innovation that’s walking through the door.”
Ravanona added that there’s so much more to being an investor than cold, hard cash.
“We’re not just chequebooks on legs.”
