At DCU’s Innovation Campus, 11 teams competed for the top prize in the third PCH Hackathon held in Dublin. Team BlueTape were crowned winners for their Bluetooth-connected measuring tape which could be used to ensure online shoppers get the right clothing for their size, minimising the number of returns to e-tailers.

Over 100 makers, collaborators, designers, engineers and entrepreneurs from Dublin’s hardware start-up ecosystem worked together over the weekend (22-24 May) to hack together ideas worthy of the €3,000 prize. The two-day event hosted by PCH Hackathon was held in partnership with DCU and Irish Design 2015 (ID2015), and sponsored by Intel.
