It is no secret that the tech sector is experiencing a talent gap, nor that the make-up of the workforce skews heavily in favour of men.

Numerous organisations are making attempts to close that gap, or to encourage more young women to pursue careers in STEM.

Some are doing both at the same time.

Code First: Girls, in partnership with Bank of America Merrill Lynch, recently held a Hack Your Career workshop in Dublin. We spoke to organisers about how events like this benefit the tech sector.
