Composer and conductor Eímear Noone talks about how the Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated digital transformation in the musical world.

While technology is not a new addition to the musical world, Covid-19 has created an opportunity for musicians and orchestras to think of new and innovative ways of reaching their audiences.

Speaking at Future Human, award-winning Irish conductor and composer Eímear Noone said: “Digital concert halls, virtual concerts, meeting audience members online before and after the concert, interacting with the musicians – these are all technologies that aren’t new.

“However, what is new and exciting is the wholesale adoption of these technologies and the accelerated adoption of these technologies in the orchestra and the performing world.”
