Félix Lajeunesse of Felix & Paul Studios discusses how his company brought VR into orbit and what he sees for the future of the medium.

Montreal-based company Felix & Paul Studios is an immersive entertainment studio focused on the creation of VR, mixed reality, augmented reality and narrative-driven experiences.

With Emmy awards to its name, the company has worked on Hollywood blockbusters such as Jurassic World and Isle of Dogs, and collaborated with two former US presidents, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.

Co-founder and creative director Félix Lajeunesse spoke at Future Human 2020 about how his company’s work literally skyrocketed out of Earth’s atmosphere as part of a collaboration with NASA aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

Using 3D VR cameras, astronauts from the different space agencies on board learned how to shoot footage, giving those of us back on Earth a VR tour of the inside of the enormous space station.
