Sage’s chief marketing officer Santiago Solanas talks to John Kennedy about the future of money and how accounting and financial management has gone to the cloud.
Once a traditional accounting software company, Sage has been reoriented into being a fast-moving digital and cloud-focused organisation.
Solanas led the rollout of Sage’s brand campaign across Europe. Prior to Sage, he spent 20 years in IT and software across the globe in sales, marketing and management roles at IBM, Microsoft and Oracle.
He says that while Sage is known as a traditional software company, it is a disruptive tech player with a compelling vision for the future of cloud and digital and reveals new tools, such as apps that enable managers to make big decisions using technologies like Apple Watch.
“The cloud in itself means nothing if it doesn’t add value to a customer,” Solanas said.
