Startup Ireland announces its plans for the Startup Gathering, a week-long series of 300 events taking places in different locations across Ireland.

At the launch event in Dublin’s NDRC, Startup Ireland CEO Eoin Costello revealed that this series of events will hit on the key themes of how to start, scale and succeed in Ireland.

“We have to compete as a country,” he said. “The competition to be at the top of global start-up hubs now is intense, so what we want is more businesses that are starting in Ireland or international corporations locating to Ireland.”

Startup Ireland’s collective of public and private partners aim to make Ireland a global start-up hub by 2020. For the inaugural Startup Gathering, taking place from 5 to 10 October, events will be hosted in Dublin, Waterford, Cork, Limerick and Galway, as well as regional events in the northeast and northwest.
