This year’s Trinity Innovation Awards celebrated a range of innovators, from a medtech focused on wound closures to an AI platform that generates emotive speech.

The 2022 Trinity Innovation Awards celebrated leaders in fields ranging from history to zoology, while highlighting the latest campus companies to watch out for.

Leonard Hobbs, director of Trinity Research and Innovation, said the number of university start-ups is growing all the time.

“[There’s] a greater interest in doing start-ups and indeed the undergrad population as well, who I guess are seeing the postgraduates or the professors doing start-ups and the success of those start-ups,” he told SiliconRepublic.com at the event.

“Of  course, success breeds success and people have role models that they can see.”
