Fresh from winning the #WomenInTech gong at the Technology Ireland Awards, two of Fidelity Investments’ women leaders tell us how the company addresses gender diversity in STEM.

Fidelity Investments’ technology head Lorna Martyn and technology management vice-president Sharon Walsh ended 2018 celebrating the receipt of the inaugural #WomenInTech Company Initiative of the Year award.

But it’s not just one single initiative that helps balance the gender of this tech workforce. “What it really takes is commitment at all levels of the organisation and only then can you achieve anything,” explained Walsh.

Martyn, who proudly helms a technology leadership team that is 57pc female, said: “It’s important not just to run the programmes but to understand the impact of those programmes.”
