As part of Accenture’s Women on Walls initiative, portraits of STEM pioneers including Kathleen Lonsdale and Katherine Johnson will hang in DCU.

Earlier this month, portraits of five pioneering women in STEM were unveiled at Dublin City University (DCU).

They are part of Accenture’s Women on Walls initiative, which aims to enhance the visibility of women who shaped the world that we live in and to inspire the next generation.

The five women featured are Kathleen Lonsdale, Beatrice Alice Hicks, Dr Marie Maynard Daly, Katherine Johnson and Kay McNulty, and they were all painted by artists in Ireland.
