A lot of people aren’t big fans of public speaking. However, it’s one of the many soft skills that could be of huge benefit to your career, particularly as a tech worker.
If you’re called upon to speak at a tech event, you’re going to want to be prepared, after all.
Zendesk hosted a workshop on public speaking as part of Global Diversity Call for Proposals (CFP) Day, a community event based on successful workshops held in advance of ScotlandCSS and ScotlandJS 2016.
The event involved a number of mentors helping the attendees with their talk proposals and sharing advice on public speaking. The attendees were then invited to get up and practise public speaking by sharing their own perspective on a subject of their choosing.
