Silicon Republic teams up with Hays to offer readers specialist insights in IT careers

28 Jan 2014

Silicon Republic is delighted to announce we have teamed up with Hays, who will become our resident recruitment experts on IT talent and skills for 2014, offering specialist advice and sector overviews to our readers.

In recent years, talent and skills has become an ever more crucial area for our audience, so regulars will have noted the launch of various initiatives during 2013, from our Featured Employers section, to new series like Trading Places and Look Inside.

Now in 2014, experts from Hays will provide monthly sector overviews, and specialist video insights on growing areas, from data analytics to fin tech. Today sees the publication of the first such column on data science and analytics.

“Our paths had crossed with Hays many times in recent years as we focused in on the whole area of talent and skills, and we were impressed with their in-depth knowledge of the IT sector,” says Ann O’Dea, CEO at Silicon Republic. “What is more, Hays Ireland is part of a worldwide team, working out of offices in 33 countries, so they can offer both the Irish and global perspective. It is great to be able to tap into their expertise.”

“We’re delighted to be working with Silicon Republic on Careers content,” says Hays Ireland MD Richard Eardley. “We have a wealth of knowledge and expertise on IT jobs and careers within the organisation, and what better way to share this with the sector than on the definitive source of all things tech and innovation in Ireland – Silicon Republic.”

Watch out for the new monthly insights, Careers Close-up, and for the first of a new video series in February, which sees James Milligan, Hays’ IT recruitment lead, offer an overview of careers in the tech sector in 2014. Plus we will be working with Hays on a new report entitled DNA of a CTO.
