Career Zoo expects 10,000 visitors in September

26 Jul 2011

Following its successful introduction last January, Career Zoo, an event targeted at professionals and graduates in Ireland, is taking place again on 10 and 11 September.

In January, more than 7,000 people went to the event to meet with potential employers and organisers anticipate 10,000 visitors over the weekend in September at the Mansion House in Dublin.

Career Zoo is described as “the only dedicated event that specifically targets Ireland’s large pool of highly qualified professionals and graduates who are seeking new career opportunities in Ireland”.

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet leading employers with job opportunities and explore professional courses with leading colleges. The event will have a strong emphasis on economic growth sectors which will be reflected both in the exhibitors and seminars throughout the weekend.

Career Zoo is supported by The American Chamber of Commerce Ireland, the National Recruitment Federation, The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and Dublin City Council.

It’s sponsored by the Irish Research Council for Science, Engineering & Technology (IRCSET), which will mean 1,000 post-graduates in sciences, engineering and technology will attend workshops and seminars and visit potential employers at the event.

Other sponsors are Hays Ireland and Valeo Vision Systems and media partners are Siliconrepublic.com, The Sunday Times and Newstalk.
