Fintech giants Pramerica and Bank of Ireland will be headline sponsors at Career Zoo 10, it was announced today (19 August).

Commenting on the announcement, Caroline McAniff, recruitment relationship manager at Bank of Ireland, spoke about what she will be looking for at Career Zoo 10.

“We are looking to meet people who can make the connection between our customers and the technology that will help them achieve their needs.

“Technology and innovation are top of the agenda for our customers and we believe in making it as easy as possible for customers to transact business. We are seeking candidates who understand and embrace this connectivity.”

At the last Career Zoo event, Bank of Ireland hired 23 new members of staff, more than doubling what they had initially sought.

Pramerica, the professional shared services and technology subsidiary of Prudential Financial, is in the midst of a phase of expansion. The fintech firm announced last month the creation of 330 new jobs in line with the development of a new, eco-friendly campus in Letterkenny.

Announcing Pramerica’s sponsorship of Career Zoo 10, Career Zoo director Brian Ó hOisín said: “Fintech is a growing area for the Irish economy, and Pramerica is one of the most exciting and fastest-growing players in the sector. They are an excellent fit for Career Zoo”.

Bank of Ireland and Pramerica are both returning sponsors of Career Zoo.

Career Zoo is Ireland’s leading event for networking and professional opportunities for those working in tech.

Career Zoo 10 will take place on 12 September.
