Kevin Mitnick’s career as a hacker and cybersecurity expert has had no shortage of drama.
Kevin Mitnick is a cybersecurity legend. From his youthful fascination with magic, to his 1995 arrest and time on the run from the FBI for breaching the security of firms such as Nokia, Motorola and IBM, his story is a fascinating one.
While he has now worked as a successful security consultant for a number of years, it is that original curiosity that keeps Mitnick interested in the world of infosec.
He noted that it’s not the vulnerabilities organisations should be wary of in terms of cyber risks: “Companies are making these configuration errors, not updating. There are a lot of companies that are still vulnerable to internal old bugs because they are using legacy technology.”
