Galway-based medical device developer Crospon has appointed Jonathon Bouchier-Hayes as director of business development. He joins the team from Fannin Healthcare where he spearheaded the establishment of a new endosurgery division in both Ireland and the UK. With over 12 years experience in the medical device industry, Bouchier-Hayes has held a number of marketing and business development roles for a mixture of early-stage medical device companies and established distribution companies such as Genzyme, Advanced Surgical Concepts and Proxy Biomedical. He holds a BSc and MBA qualification from University College Dublin. Crospon is a medical device company focused on the monitoring and treatment of diabetes and gastroesophageal reflux disorder. The company finalised €2.3m in seed funding earlier this year and recently announced a licensing agreement with HP Labs to create an industry-first ‘skin patch’ for smart drug delivery.
