Storage solutions expert, EMC has announced the appointment of Rainer Erlat as its new vice president of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He joined the company after working with H-P for 22 years during which he served most recently as the vice president and general manager for of sales for the EMEA Enterprise Systems Group at HP. The company established Irish operations in 1988. Since then, the company has two locations in the Republic, a manufacturing facility in Cork and a sales office in Dublin. Over 1,300 people are employed in both these operations.
