Gavan Smyth has been appointed head of business development at UPC Ireland (new parent company of NTL & Chorus). He will be responsible for enterprise and SME business streams, managing the sales team, product managers and project managers within UPC Business. He was previously country manager at Allied Telesis for four years, and account manager at Fujitsu Services (previously ICL) for four years. Smyth has a degree in business and marketing at University of Ulster and a certificate in radio broadcasting at Dublin Institute Dun Laoghaire.
