Version 1 to hire 10 in Cork as part of recruitment drive

IT consulting and managed services company Version 1 has created 70 new jobs so far this year in Ireland and wants to fill 10 positions in Cork in the current phase of its nationwide recruitment drive.

The positions available in Cork include opportunities for Microsoft technology consultants and project, team and test leads.

The company announced in May it would create 180 jobs by 2013 in Ireland to meet the demands of forecasted business growth of more than 30pc this year.

Version 1 has expertise across a range of technologies and experience within the utilities, public, financial, pharmaceutical, retail, education and health sectors.

Privately funded since its inception in 1996, it currently employs 280 staff at its Dublin, Cork and Belfast offices.

Founder Justin Keatinge has been shortlisted for the upcoming Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2011 programme in the industry category and the company was recently named ‘Company of the Year’ at the 2011 ICT Excellence Awards.
