Fintech firm Options announces 75 new positions in Belfast office

Financial cloud provider is set to grow its Belfast office from 75 to 150 people.

Options, a cloud-based fintech company founded in 1993, is seeking to hire 75 new staff members for its Belfast office following an investment from New York-based private equity firm Bregal Sagemount, according to The Irish Times.

The company currently has a staff of about 200, with offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Geneva, Dublin, Toronto and the Caribbean, as well as Belfast.

The funding injection will be used to invest further in Options’ current platform, and aid expansion into new markets.

$100m investment

Options CEO Nigel Kneafsey said: “We believe that the rapid growth in the business in the last few years is underpinned by the accelerated wave of outsourcing in financial services IT globally.

“Sagemount is the perfect partner to support our mission to become a global power in this high-growth sector.”

The Options platform is used by more than 200 firms across the globe, including investment banks, brokerage firms and hedge funds.

The fintech firm provides a number of services to its clients, including managed security, managed applications and access to the Options global financial network.
