August is traditionally a quiet time for many in the workplace. Even in the media, summer is thought of as the silly season, and, with many people on their holidays, recruitment drives and job announcements can be slow.

But even though jobs announcements in the sci-tech world were few and far between in the last two months, that doesn’t mean that some of the biggest companies in the industry aren’t always on the lookout for top talent.
