Accenture invited more than 500 transition-year students and their teachers to the Convention Centre Dublin for a day exploring science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).
With Girls in STEM, Accenture went to great lengths to show teenage girls the vast opportunities they can unlock by simply engaging with STEM. Hackathons and coding workshops offered hands-on experience, while panel discussions explored topics relevant to a young audience, such as social media.
Facebook superstar Cian Twomey was on-hand to offer his support to the cause, while Minister of State Damien English, TD, emphasised the importance of involving more of the next generation in the future of STEM.
