Ann O’Dea held a fireside chat with 19-year-old entrepreneur Shane Curran at a Future Human pop-up event during the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition (BTYSTE).

Shane Curran, the founder and CEO of Evervault, spoke to Future Human founder Ann O’Dea about VC networking, the ‘Irish mafia’ in Silicon Valley and his ambition to build the next $100bn-plus company.

Evervault is a data privacy company that evolved from Curran’s winning BTYSTE project in which he created a quantum-secure, encrypted, data storage solution with multi-jurisdictional quorum sharing.

It wasn’t long after that the BTYSTE champion secured a $3.2m investment led by Sequoia Capital – an achievement Curran said began with a serendipitous email.

Curran will return to the stage for the main Future Human event at Trinity Business School in May 2020. Early Bird tickets for the event are available now.
