Cloud software player Citrix creates 50 new jobs in Dublin

12 Jun 2013

Cloud virtualisation software player Citrix is to create 50 new jobs in Dublin across all divisions due to what it describes as unprecedented demand for its technology.

The company has been growing its operations steadily in Ireland and the 50 new jobs come on top of previous expansions, such as 50 jobs that were created in 2011 and 30 jobs that were created in 2010.

The company’s vice-president in charge of Worldwide Infrastructure and Operations Martin Kelly said this latest expansion demonstrates the ongoing growth of Citrix’s technical support, sales, IT operations and online services divisions in Europe and the rest of the world.

“Customers are embracing cloud services and mobile workstyles to create agile, cost-effective, new ways of working,” Kelly explained.

“As such, all divisions of Citrix continue to experience significant growth across Europe, including the Citrix technical support and education business. Immediate career opportunities for sales and technology professionals, at a variety of levels, are available to those who want to advance their career in a dynamic, customer-focused environment,” he added.

The company is recruiting for candidates with experience in corporate sales, escalation engineering, HRIS analysis, sales enablement, sales support, technical relationship management and technical support engineering and management.

IDA Ireland chief executive Barry O’Leary described Citrix as a growth leader in cloud computing services.

“The company has significantly broadened its product range ensuring steady and consistent growth. This expansion across all divisions of Citrix in Ireland will strengthen Ireland’s existing technology cluster and complements Ireland’s reputation as a leader for cloud computing investment,” said O’Leary.
