Google Now is available for the iPhone and iPad

Google has updated its iPad and iPhone app in the Apple App Store, bringing its Google Now context-driven engine to Apple’s mobile devices.

Google Now is a recently launched feature that learns from users and presents need-to-know information on special cards on the screen on a myriad of topics, from travel to sports and weather.

Google has launched it across Android, iOS and Chrome.

The feature is now expected to make the leap from smartphone and tablet screens to Google’s homepage.

The new iOS app comes with an enhanced voice-recognition technology that responds to spoken questions with spoken answers.

“Google Now is about giving you just the right information at just the right time. It can show you the day’s weather as you get dressed in the morning, or alert you that there’s heavy traffic between you and your butterfly-inducing date, so you’d better leave now!” Google said in a statement.

“It can also share news updates on a story you’ve been following, remind you to leave for the airport so you can make your flight and much more. There’s no digging required: cards appear at the moment you need them most, and the more you use Google Now, the more you get out of it,” the company said.
