Paul Sheeran has been named HP Financial Services’ managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and is based in Leixlip. Since 2002 he has served as managing director for Hewlett-Packard International Bank plc, where he oversaw a significant local expansion, including the creation last year of an additional 100 high-value financial services jobs in Ireland. In his new role, Sheeran continues to serve as the bank’s managing director. He also becomes responsible for development and execution of business strategy for the EMEA region, and for optimising the company’s growth plans for the region. He leads a team of more than 350 HP Financial Services employees. He holds a master’s degree in Economics from University College Dublin and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. Before joining HP, Sheeran worked as a senior regulator with the Central Bank of Ireland. Previously he held senior positions with Lloyds TSB Bank in the UK.
