Lucy Gaffney has been appointed chairperson of Servecast, a provider of on-line multi-media communications solutions. She also takes up a non-executive director position at the company. Gaffney is chairperson of Dublin-based radio station 98FM and a non-executive director of youth-oriented radio station, Spin FM. She is also a non-executive director of the Denis O’Brien-owned Digicel Jamaica, Jamaica’s GSM mobile phone company and Digicel Caribbean Limited which is rolling out cellular operations in St Vincent, St Lucia and Grenada. Gaffney was chief executive officer at Esat Telecom Group plc following its takeover by BT in January 2000.
