There are myriad opportunities in tech for qualified people. So many opportunities, in fact, that the sector has an incredibly mobile workforce. While most sectors are seeing the end of the job-for-life mentality, it is in tech that this is at its most extreme.

At Inspirefest 2016, we sat down with Ellyn Shook, Accenture’s chief leadership and human resources officer, and asked her advice on building and retaining a diverse, happy workforce.

She spoke about the programmes she has crafted for Accenture’s 375,000 employees around the world, and the initiatives the financial services organisation has created to ensure that employees have a career path within the company.

Most important, she said, was treating every employee like a human being.
