The tech industry continues to enjoy unprecedented growth, with a wealth of roles available at any given time. According to Anne-Marie Walsh, managing consultant at Hays Recruitment, employers are increasingly turning to graduates to fill those roles.
“Opportunities [for graduates] are rife,” said Walsh, speaking to Siliconrepublic.com. Employers are starting to see the benefits of tapping into the graduate market.
Much of this is down to graduates’ willingness to do a wide variety of jobs in order to get experience, and their ability to mould themselves to fit company culture.
Walsh touched on the skills and qualifications many tech companies look for, stating that an education isn’t always enough – real-life industry experience is often a requirement.
Walsh also highlighted sectors and roles that Hays sees particular demand for from employees, indicating that graduates could see success in these areas.
