In the latest episode, Fiserv’s Katia Karpova spoke to Ann O’Dea about innovation within the payments industry and how the demands of consumers are driving change.
“We have the new generation of consumers that are demanding that payment methods change. We used to pay cash, then we used to pay card. Now, they’re technologically very savvy consumers. They want to pay with a watch, with a device, with a phone, hopefully with nothing at some point,” she said.
“But that generation has been really demanding that the payment technologies are changing and are becoming more digital, and that has driven a lot of innovation.”
