William Fry’s Leo Moore discusses the different legal challenges that companies will have to prepare for this year.

Working from home will bring “additional complexity from a legal perspective” for companies in 2021.

That’s according to Leo Moore, a partner on William Fry’s technology team who specialises in intellectual property, technology and data protection matters.

He said companies will have to look out for increased cyber threats and place a focus on data protection as employees work remotely. Employers may also have to consider the tax implications if staff are working remotely from other countries.

Moore also talked to us about the legal challenges that could arise in relation to international data transfers, new copyright rules and data protection litigation.
