Life in the Womb app provides visual guide to pregnancy

A stunning new iOS7 iPad app produced in consultation with the National Maternity Hospital is believed to be the first app to provide an in-depth visual guide to the baby’s development through the 40 weeks of pregnancy.

Built exclusively for iPad and iOS 7 the app showcases just what is possible with modern tablet devices.

“Taking over a year to develop and produce, we believe this app will go on to become the definitive source of information for all mothers and fathers to be,” said Redwind’s Conor Winders.

‘Life in the Womb’ is the first pregnancy app to provide an in-depth visual guide to the baby’s development through the 40 weeks of pregnancy.

Developed in consultation with Ireland’s National Maternity Hospital the app uses a unique combination of animations, 3d rotations, graphical overlays and text to deliver a rich and engaging experience unlike any other app of its kind.

The science and medical 3d images and animations were produced by The Science Picture Company The app content and narrative was produced with the National Maternity Hospital of Ireland.

“This app has brought together an amazing team of artists, programmers, doctors and writers to create what we believe is an entirely new experience for expectant parents,” said Michael Grant, co-founder of The Science Picture Company.
