Samsung has unveiled a series of new Irish Rugby mobile apps that include Leinster, Munster and Connacht on its bada platform that are available via the new Samsung Apps Store.

The new mobile applications allow Samsung mobile users to receive news updates on their favourite team, squad profiles, fixture lists and interviews with their favourite players.

The applications are all available on the Samsung Wave HD, the first smartphone to be released on Samsung’s new Bada platform.

“Rugby apps are hugely popular with the Irish people,” explained Gary Twohig, general manager for Samsung Mobile Ireland.

“As part of our mission to bring quality and relevant Irish apps to the Irish market, Samsung Mobile are delighted to announce that from today our customers can download the Leinster, Munster and Connacht apps from the Samsung app store for their Wave HD phone.

“Samsung are also particularly proud to be the first manufacturer to launch the Connacht Rugby App,” Twohig said.

Samsung’s Bada platform allows mobile users to simply and easily download a range of applications from Samsung Apps, an integrated apps store accessible from the device and online.

The Samsung App store features a wealth of games, navigation, social networking, e-book, health and lifestyle apps.
