UPC will today launch a new broadband and telephony offering which it will target at 56,000 SME businesses in Dublin, Galway and Waterford, siliconrepublic.com has learned.

The bundled product includes broadband speeds ranging from 2Mbps to 6Mbps, telephony and services such as static IP support, hosted storage and secure email services.

UPC claims businesses will be able to save €1,200 a year when compared with other operators’ SME products.

The new SME bundle has broadband speeds of 6Mbps download and 512KB upload speed plus telephony at €69 a month (excluding Vat) and the 2Mbps and 3Mbps bundles are available at €49 and €59 per month (excluding Vat) respectively.

“Having an infrastructure in place to deliver an extensive portfolio of voice, data and internet solutions allows us to customise our service offerings to fit our client’s requirements,” said Sarah Shearman, channel manager of UPC Business.

“This is a critical component to differentiate us from alternative operators. Today’s announcement reiterates our commitment by addressing the demands of the business market to introduce innovative and competitively priced products that suit the needs of the SME market in Ireland,” Shearman added.

Over the past 18 months UPC has invested over €300m to deliver new and advanced services to the business community.

The new SME products will be channelled through various partners and will be initially available to over 56,000 identified SMEs in Dublin, Galway and Waterford.

During the first quarter of next year the company will extend the offering to Limerick, Cork, Kildare, Athlone, Portlaoise, Carlow and Kilkenny.
