Barcode and data capture technology provider VisionID is to design and deploy mobile applications using Syclo’s Agentry mobile framework, the company has revealed.

Clonmel-based VisionID is targeting pharmaceutical companies throughout the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region with the new applications, which aim to improve workflow efficiency, data capture for compliance, lower operating costs and extend asset life for pharmaceutical manufacturers.

“We require a mobile technology platform that we can quickly develop and configure according to the specs of both the customers and hardware providers and, finally, rapidly deploy,” said Victor Donnelly, marketing manager, VisionID. “The platform has to be flexible enough to serve a wide variety of clients, often simultaneously. After carefully looking over the mobile platform marketplace, the Agentry platform from Syclo was our choice,”

VisionID will resell Illinois-headquartered Syclo’s mobile products, especially its SMART Suite products, which will be integrated to any data backend customers select such as those from IBM Maximo, SAP or other leading-edge systems.

VisionID’s technical staff has completed Agentry certified training. With 83 drug manufacturing facilities in Ireland and 16 of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies in the world with a presence in the country, VisionID has the opportunity to provide high-level mobile technology capabilities to the nation’s leading pharmaceutical companies.
