A comparison between Bing and Google (infographic)

24 Jul 2012

Google makes up 68.7pc of web searches, making it the clear winner over other search engines such as Bing, which comes in at a distant second with 25.9pc of all web searches, a new infographic shows.

Recently, Bing (Microsoft’s search engine), has been working to close the gap between itself and Google, and surely to overtake it entirely. Bing has recently undergone a redesign, implemented new social features, and even sealed a partnership with Encyclopedia Britannica.

The infographic created for OnlineDegrees.com compares Bing and Google: how each got started, and their marketshare, powered-by searches, social searches, semantic searches, and top searches.

In the end, it doesn’t look as if Google has anything to worry about it terms of keeping its search engine crown, but, as the infographic indicates, Bing’s growth has been nothing to shrug off, either.
