Apple sends out invitations to press for 10 September iPhone launch

4 Sep 2013

Apple has invited US-based journalists to an event at its Cupertino, California, campus on 10 September to launch its next-generation of iPhone hardware.

Apple is expected to unveil two new iPhone devices on 10 September: a next generation iPhone 5S, which is rumoured to have a faster A7 processor and fingerprint recognition capabilities; and a low cost iPhone 5C, a low cost version of the iPhone 5 which will come in a variety of colours.

The event will coincide also with the launch of Apple’s next generation mobile operating system iOS 7.

Other prevailing rumours about the next generation iPhone 5S include that it may come with a 12 or 13-megapixel camera and that there will be a gold coloured version.

Additional rumours of late include speculation that Apple may be unveiling three devices. Could it be the fabled iWatch, a next generation iPad or maybe some greater insight on what Apple has in store on the TV front? As usual, only Apple knows. All will be revealed on 10 September.
