Assange refused bail and will face Swedish hearing – reports

7 Dec 2010

Julian Assange has been refused bail, according to a series of tweets on social network website Twitter.

The Wikileaks founder, who was recently placed under arrest by UK police for alleged sex crimes in Sweden, has apparently been refused bail and will remain in police custody.

The reports originated under hash tag #Wikileaks and claim Assange has not be released from police custody ahead of his full hearing on his extradition to Sweden.

Assange, who has been on Interpol’s most wanted list, had recently turned himself in to discuss the warrant for his arrest.
