Groupon’s Deal Builder allows merchants to build their own deals

11 Feb 2014

Merchants in the US can now create their own Groupon deals anytime they wish on the daily deals site’s new Deal Builder platform.

Deal Builder, which can be found on GrouponWorks.com, features templates and a step-by-step process merchants can use to build a promotion to best suit their business’ needs.

“With the launch of Deal Builder, we now have a customisable solution for the thousands of merchants that contact us directly every month wanting to run a deal,” said Dan Roarty, vice-president of product development at Groupon.

“By expanding the number of ways that merchants can work with Groupon, we’re providing our customers with even more great local business options when they want to do or buy just about anything, anywhere, anytime.”

Once a merchant has finished building a deal via Deal Builder, it undergoes a short review before going live.

Deal Builder is available for almost all local businesses, including health and beauty, service-oriented and activities-based businesses.

Merchants can even choose which of their products or services they want to feature as part of their Groupon deal.

The platform will expand to food and beverage merchants later this year.
