Cloud Operate is almost doubling its Belfast workforce with 12 new positions at the software solutions company.
Bringing the total workforce to 26, the company is looking to hire software testers, developers, consultants and a support team – four of the roles have already been filled.
“We considered a few options for this investment including placing the jobs with our existing team in the Philippines. However, as a local company, we understand the great talent and technical expertise available in Northern Ireland,” says Aaron McCormack, executive chairman of Cloud Operate.
“Invest NI’s support enabled us to create these jobs locally whist remaining cost competitive. The agency’s assistance has now helped us create over 20 new hi-tech jobs in Belfast in the last 14 months.”
Cloud Operate designs innovative software solutions based around the growing cloud IT segment of the software industry. The company’s key markets are in the UK and Europe.
Invest NI’s Alastair Hamilton said: “I’m delighted to be announcing 12 new jobs for Cloud Operate, a young company which, with Invest NI support, has grown quickly since it was set up in 2011.
“Early last year we supported the company to create 10 jobs and previously we provided a research and development grant to help it improve its Microsoft System Centre Service Manager product.
“The company’s success has led now to this further expansion. Invest NI will continue to be a business partner for Cloud Operate as it grows and develops in the future.”
