Cloud-based accounts service provider Surf Accounts has announced plans to create 10 jobs in its Tallaght offices over the coming year.
Looking to fill positions in digital marketing, technical roles, support and training, Surf Accounts is bulking up its staff count on the back of significant company growth.
In the past six months the company claims its business has grown 60pc, with 2,000 clients now needing additional operational support.
In May of this year, Surf Accounts won the top prize at the Bank of Ireland Startup Awards, beating competition from more than 600 other start-ups.
“Cloud-based services have transformed the way Irish businesses work, allowing collaboration in real-time and access anytime, anywhere,” said Ray Rogers, CEO of the company.
“Accountancy has been slow to catch up with other sectors, and we are passionate about innovating the market, both in Ireland and abroad.”
Based in Southcity Business Park, Tallaght, Surf Accounts’ customers include accountancy firms and their clients – the company is now targeting business owners directly.
Yesterday, Alert Logic revealed plans to create 58 new jobs in Belfast, as Northern Ireland landed one of the growing number of cybersecurity companies eyeing Irish shores.
“We considered many other locations for this investment but Invest NI’s support and the availability of a strong pool of talented people made Northern Ireland a very attractive location for us,” explained Alert Logic’s CEO Gray Hall.
Elsewhere, eShopWorld is creating 60 positions across its global operations, including in its offices in Dublin and Newry.
