Dozens of companies will take part in Q&As to give tips for hiring and tell candidates what they’re looking for as part of Twitter’s online job fair on 24 February.
The social network’s #JobFair will look to harness the job-seeking power of things like #JobFairy, Ireland’s main hashtag search for all things jobs.
Incorporating businesses from Ireland, the UK, the Netherlands, France and Germany, users from all over Europe will no doubt take part as they look to get whatever advice they can on snagging that dream job.
In Ireland, last year #JobFairy was tweeted a massive 320,000 times, with #IrishJobs receiving 57,000 tweets. September was the biggest month for Twitter activity on the jobs front, with Tuesday the most popular weekday throughout the year.
The place to be
A raft of employers are already signed up to take part in the event, and Twitter itself will participate through its @JoinTheFlockEU handle showcasing it’s more than 30 open positions available in Dublin currently.
Senior recruiters from the Twitter team will also be sharing what Twitter looks for when hiring, giving people an insider view into working at Twitter and providing guidance to potential candidates.
“Taking part in this Twitter initiative couldn’t be any easier,” said the company.
“Make sure to be online throughout the day on Tuesday, 24 February, engage with the hashtag #YourJob and follow this @TwitterDublin list for companies taking part, along with companies who are constantly using Twitter as a hiring platform.
“Whether you are searching for a job or looking to hire for a job, all your questions will be answered.”
